The art of “From up on Poppy Hill”

Studio Ghibli’s newest film, From Up on Poppy Hill (Kokurikozaka kara-screenplay written by Hayao Miyazaki and directed by Goro Miyazaki ) has been released on 16th July in Japan. And lucky me I am in Japan so I bought the Art book  even before watching the movie..I couldn’t resist!!!

  1. it’s astonishing how Ghibli has stayed original over the many many years, Disney should take a good lesson.
    To be honest i was afraid that Miyazaki’s son would come up with a new style that is different that what we have seen from the old movies.
    Im happy to know that the future awaits many great films from Ghibli studios whom i trust won’t be boring, but new-innovative-and original’
    Hope they make an english-version real soon

    • Yes that is true.I’ve watched the movie and is a little bit different from Ghibli but still a wonderful story and great art direction!Hope to see more in the future .
